We came to know and love Bud when he married our Aunt 17 years ago. Bud was a special man and all of our children loved him dearly. He was so kind and gracious. We did not know of Bud’s passing until an hour ago. We flew from Texas to N.C. on August 4th to attend our granddaughter’s baptism. My wife has been trying to get a hold of Dorothy for a couple weeks. We lost Bud and Dorothy’s number a couple weeks ago when my wife needed to get a new phone. Upon transferring numbers, she lost everything. Through a series of phone calls and divine intervention, we finally found the number of their assisted living center. Our intent was to obtain Bud and Dorothy’s number so we could visit them before we flew home. The lady who answered the phone thought we were calling to obtain information about Bud’s Memorial Service. We were shocked to learn of Bud’s passing. The last time I spoke with Bud he told me that his time was near and he was excited to meet his Lord. Until we meet again. We love you Bud. Matt & Kathy McNaughton (nephew & niece through marriage).

I knew Bud in connection with Nachurs Liquid Fertilizer. My father used Nachurs on the farm and was also a Nachurs salesman. My father, Paul, thought a lot of Bud and missed him after his move to CA. I only met him a time or two. He impressed me as a very nice man. I'm very sorry for your loss.
