Mix ... I'm sorry we drifted apart over the years, but I was blessed to reconnect via social media a while back. Thanks for catching up and sharing so many memories with me. We'll get together again someday, save me a seat. Also, thanks for your songwriting and music, I listen often. Love you!!! R.I.P.

I knew Alan Mixon for 37 years. We played music together in Penny Lane, worked together at my company Sundown Express, played softball together, wrote a song together, recorded music together, partied together, and even lived together for a while. Alan asked me to sing a song at Janet's funeral which was very emotional. We shared a mutual love for The Beatles, The Eagles, and the New Orleans Saints. I will perform on July 22nd at the House of Blues in New Orleans at "Beatlefest" and we will dedicate the show to Alan. In the last several years of his life, he was in a loving relationship with my sister Terry who is heartbroken! I will miss his sense of humor, our conversations, and our musical connection! Rest in peace my friend! You are with your Dad now!

There are no words to describe what I'm feeling. I can't believe that you are gone!! My!big brother, the one that I've looked up to all my life. The closeness that we shared a lot of people wouldn't understand. We could tell each other the truth and never get pissedoff at one another. I have loved you for 52 yrs and i can't imagine my life without you. Already I have tried to pick up the phone to call you but then remembered your not here anymore. Alan, I will love you until my last dying breathe and after that we will be rejoined again with our parents. Thank you for loving and protecting me, like s big brother should. Until we meet again big brother, from your baby sister!!!!!
