Obituary

Fuquay-Varina - William "Bill / Todd" Samuel Sox, 86, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, May 4, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Pleasant Plains Community Church, 174 Boykin Road, Lillington, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

Bill or Uncle Todd to many, was born in Harnett county to the late, Roscoe Clark Sox and Susie Weaver Sox. He was also was preceded in death by his wife, Camelia Helen Sox; daughter, Cathy Burnett; sisters, Lucille Matthews, Mary Gilbert, and Martha McKinney; brothers, Max, Laren, Maurice, and Clarence Sox.

Todd was raised in Buies Creek. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean war. After his military service, he worked for over 30 years as a healthcare technician at Dorothy Dix Hospital. He was a member of Pleasant Plains Community Church and will be remembered by all who knew him as a gentle man who was always smiling.

He is survived by his niece, Lynn Johnson and her husband, Charles who looked after him many years as his guardian. He also is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Windsor Point and Transitions LifeCare for the thoughtful care they so kindly showed during Uncle Todd's stay.
